Mutual Bias and Objectivity in the Media of Armenia and Turkey

Eurasia Partnership Foundation in Armenia (EPF) in partnership with the Global Political Trends Center (GPoT) conducted an assessment of the accuracy and bias in Turkish and Armenian print media when covering Turkish-Armenian relations. The proposed research was conducted within the framework of the "Reducing Media Bias in Armenia and Turkey" program supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The study aimed to increase awareness among media-related stakeholders of the major trends in the level of bias and accuracy in mass-media reporting in Armenia and Turkey about bi-lateral issues, as well as made it possible to inform the general public in both countries about mutual media biases through media outlets participating in the program. The research study by Ferhat Boratav entitled A Survey on Turkish-Armenian Relations and Armenia in Turkish Media (2006-2009) is available for your download here.
