Among the organizations visited were the Albert Schweitzer Institute, Brookings Institute, Center for American Progress, Center for Strategic and International Studies, Eurasia Foundation and US Institute of Peace. Dr. Akgün and Dr. Tiryaki also visited the Turkish Mission to the UN, and met with staffers and advisors from the US Senate, as well as officials from the State Department.
