Planning Session, Israeli-Palestinian International Policy Group

GPoT Center Deputy Director Dr. Sylvia Tiryaki attended the United States Institute of Peace (USIP)-Mitvim Institute working group session, which featured the search for new international mechanisms to assist the peace process in Israel and Palestine. The working session was co-convened at USIP with Mitvim, and took place on November 19, 2015.

The working group is comprised of US, EU, Israeli, Palestinian, and Middle East regional organizations that are dedicated to approaching the Israeli-Palestinian impasse with fresh thinking about breaking the deadlock and forging a new diplomatic road ahead for resolving the conflict.

The meeting aimed to leverage the engagement of multinational participation, by organizations/individuals with influence in their respective policy communities, and to infuse analysis and recommendations with an understanding of the competing and complementary interests, needs, and capabilities of the relevant immediate and international stakeholders.
