”Migration Network in Europe and Turkey” is supported under the Civil Society Dialogue Programme. The Programme aims to bring together civil society organisations from Turkey and the EU around common topics, to exchange knowledge and experience, and to build a sustained conversation among them.

The overall objective of the project which is implemented by the Greek NGO Athens Network of Collaborating Experts, the Global Political Trends Center of Istanbul Kültür University, Human Resource Development Foundation and Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants, is to facilitate the EU-Turkey civil society cooperation on the grounds of development of migration/asylum policies in Turkey in accordance with EU standards and of a common approach to migration management between EU & Turkey.

In the event, consortium members discussed the recent developments regarding the refugee issue both in Greece and Turkey, and presented their progress on the project. Moreover, with the participation of other NGOs from Greece, the project partners had the chance to discuss how to facilitate the EU-Turkey civil society cooperation by developing a common approach to migration management in EU and Turkey.
