Global Political Trends Center (GPoT) has organized the second round of second track diplomacy meetings on the negotiation process in Cyprus between October 31st and November 2nd in Heybeliada.

Global Political Trends Center (GPoT) has organized the second round of second track diplomacy meetings on the negotiation process in Cyprus between October 31st and November 2nd in Heybeliada. The first meeting of the initiative was held in July. As in the first one, the second meeting took place with the participation of NGO representatives and politicians from Greece, Turkey and both sides in Cyprus. The issues that were discussed included the recent developments in the peace process, a communication strategy to overcome the problems that might come up during the talks and the impact of the international community during the negotiations. The role of the media and the opinion makers were especially touched upon with regards to the effects they have on public opinion. The meeting was organized under the auspices of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
