Prof. Dr. Mensur Akgün is the Director of the Global Political Trends Center (GPoT) and the Chair of the Department of International Relations at Istanbul Kültür University, where he is a faculty member.
He received his first bachelor's degree from Middle East Technical University in Ankara in international relations. He later earned another bachelor's degree in social anthropology, as well as a master's in political science, at the University of Oslo in Norway. He completed his doctoral studies at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul.
In addition to his work at GPoT, from 2002 to 2009 he served as the director of the Foreign Policy Program at the Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV). Previously a columnist at the daily Referans and the Star, Prof. Dr. Akgün currently writes for Karar newspaper. He has numerous published works in the fields of international relations and Turkish foreign policy. Since 2011, Prof. Dr. Akgün has been serving as an Adviser to the World Handicapped Foundation.
Gamze Coşkun, a graduate of tourism and hotel management, has previously held various positions at several 5-star hotels, and worked at the sales and business department of an international pharmaceutical company for approximately 10 years. Before joining GPoT Center's team as an Administrative Assistant, she worked as a customer service representative for an international company providing office services.
Sena Kekeç completed her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at İstanbul Kultur University in 2015. She studied Human Rights at Malmö University, Sweden for one semester. She worked with different NGOs on minorities and human rights. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Migration Studies at Istanbul University. Sena is a Project Assistant at the Global Political Trends Center (GPoT).
Yasin Küçükkaya completed his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sociology at MSGSU, Istanbul. He is also working as a freelance editor for Al Sharq Forum. His research fields are Turkey’s Middle East Policies, Conflict Studies and Security Policies. Yasin is a Project Assistant at the Global Political Trends Center (GPoT).
